A very intense first semester from behind the scene

The first semester of the year has been unprecedented for all of us. The lockdown prevented us from attending international conferences and having international missions. The crisis simply brought us back to Brussels and made us work from behind the scene.

During this period, it has been a great pleasure working again with SPIRE on the “guidance document” describing the future public-private partnership activities, with as title “Transforming the European Process Industry for a sustainable society”. The consultation by the European Commission is now open and awaits for the public feedback to move on.

Building on our core expertise in cement and concrete products, we have also been working with the Swiss Development Cooperation Agency to help shape the 3rd phase of the LC3 cement project (limestone calcined clay cements) with the EPFL (University of Lausanne) and its partners in Cuba and India.

And last but not least, we also supported Lhoist – world leader in lime and mineral products – in drafting its Climate Ambition strategy.

It is now time for a break. Wishing you all very energizing holidays.
