HOP3 proud to have completed the 2050 Vision for SPIRE – which is today debated with more than 100 stakeholders in Brussels.
HOP3 has been working over the last 6 months with European sector associations (steel, chemical, cement, ceramic, water, aluminium, engineering and non-ferrous sectors) and individual companies to draft the 2050 Vision document of SPIRE. This document describes the value proposition of related sectors to the European society and the most promising research and innovation fields to deliver on this vision.
On 2 October, this draft has been debated by representatives of the EU Commission, Member States, companies, associations, research centres and NGOs at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Brussels. HOP3 will now consolidate the outcomes of this dialogue into the SPIRE strategy for the Horizon Europe Programme.
It is all about accelerating the transition towards a “well-below 2 degrees” future and a fully circular European society, while enhancing the competitiveness of the European Process Industry.
