For the last two years, our experts have been working closely with Knauf Insulation on a feasibility study for first-of-a-kind decarbonization technologies at one of the largest glass wool production facilities in Europe.
The key focus has been exploring Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) as a central solution for achieving carbon neutrality. This technology complements other essential initiatives, including material and energy efficiency measures, circular innovations, fuel switching, and direct electrification.
In addition to designing on-site decarbonization facilities with potential equipment suppliers, HOP3 Consulting spearheaded extensive networking efforts. We have engaged with other CO2-emitting industries, future operators of CO2 transport and storage infrastructure, and stakeholders to establish a comprehensive value chain relevant for the Knauf Insulation plant. Furthermore, we have provided guidance on securing subsidies to support this transformative project.
This ongoing initiative, set to continue into 2025, illustrates our capability to assist our clients – industrial companies or industry associations – through every step of their journey. From crafting their carbon-neutrality roadmaps to designing, assessing, and helping implement effective decarbonization projects, we are here to help you.
As decarbonization technologies become ready for deployment, industrial companies have an opportunity to move from ambition to action, delivering emissions reductions at scale.
At HOP3 Consulting, we can accelerate your decarbonization journey —with determination, expertise, and with a smile.
