Supporting Europe’s industrial decarbonisation & competitiveness: our highlights from 2025

In 2025, HOP3 Consulting continued to support several European industry associations on strategic decarbonisation and climate transition topics.

By working closely with the European Lime Association (EuLA) and CCA Europe (Calcium Carbonate Association) on projects, HOP3 Consulting supported their decarbonisation pathways and their public affairs strategies. Our role was notably to help structure robust, fact-based arguments that align climate ambition with industrial realities.

In parallel, we also worked in close collaboration with A.SPIRE, a European association representing 10 essential industrial sectors in Europe (cement, ceramics, chemicals, engineering, minerals & ores, non-ferrous metals, steel, water, refining, pulp & paper) by reflecting on a future research and innovation Vision for Europe’s process industries.

Across all these assignments, the work was conducted in close cooperation, with strong mutual trust and alignment.
A key lesson stands out clearly: decarbonisation and competitiveness must go hand in hand, more than ever. In today’s challenging context, climate transition is not only an environmental imperative: it is central to Europe’s industrial resilience, sovereignty, and long-term robustness. At the same time, competitiveness remains a prerequisite for keeping industry in Europe.
Supporting this balance is where we believe our contribution matters most.
