The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) and HOP3 Consulting are happy to announce that HOP³ Consulting has joined the Concrete Sustainability Council as an Affiliate Member.
Bernard Mathieu, HOP3 Managing Director, assumed senior leadership positions in sustainability for HeidelbergCement, Holcim, and LafargeHolcim, between 2007 and 2017. Bernard recently launched his consultancy in sustainability and public affairs, under the brand HOP³ Consulting, and is currently working for several associations and energy-intensive companies.
The global responsible sourcing certification system developed by the CSC, and designed to help concrete, cement and aggregate companies obtain insight in the level to which a company operates in an environmentally, socially and economically responsible way, was initiated by concrete industry partners from Europe, USA, Latin America and Asia. “During the very early steps of the CSC, Bernard Mathieu played a crucial role as the CSC’s first project coordinator”, said Michael Scharpf, CSC Vice Chair. “His contribution was pivotal to define the content and requirements of the CSC System as well as to bind in partners and associations to set up the platform.”
With his strong experience and his long-running background in sustainability in the cement and concrete sector, Bernard will further contribute to the successful deployment of the CSC System and sustainability in the concrete sector.
